We have always endeavoured to be different and I think we certainly achieve that… There is truly no restaurant like this in the world. We built the lorries and awning to provide an incomparable atmosphere to go with the ever-changing menus derived from our experiences through life, through our travels and well, that we like to eat.
We believe that a dining experience should not just be about the food so we’ve created a one-of-a-kind ambiance coupling the restaurant with our home and our deep blue awning which replicates the nights sky. Each table is candle lit, echoing the light from the festoons that dangle from the canopy with various artefacts we’ve picked up over the years. There’ll be a log fire in the corner giving a haze of wood smoke and a hum of excited chatter, chiming glasses and the bustle of a busy service.
We pick a theme each month to loosely base the menu on. It can be anything: a culture, a vegetable, a person even. Several courses will come out to you throughout the meal, not twee or bitesize but interesting and hearty. There’ll be a snack immediately as you arrive to break the ice (as the wait before the first course can feel like years for the hungry diner) a bread course, starter, fish course, a refreshing (and interesting) tipple, the main event served banquet-style, and finally, and dessert.
We want you to leave the restaurant feeling overwhelmingly content. Who knows… maybe there’ll be some entertainment!
If you need to cancel, please provide more than 24 hours’ notice. In this case, you can rebook for another date or receive a voucher. As a small business, we are sadly unable to offer refunds.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice mean we will have already ordered the fresh local ingredients for your meal. Therefore, we sadly cannot offer rebooking or refunds for late cancellations. You are, of course, very welcome to gift or sell your booking to a friend, just get in touch to let us know there’s been a change of plan.
